It’s time for 2012 Mid-America Motorcycle Expo as it returns for the 5th consecutive year to the Centre, in the heart of downtown Evansville on January 21st & 22nd, 2012. The event will be two days of Motorcycle trade show, including New and Used bike dealers, Parts and accessory dealers, apparel dealers, along with custom bikes, and accessories on display. Last year show was very successful, 70 vendors representing 13 states came together and filled the weekend with a motorcycle enthusiast event that was well received by all local news media. Thousands of general admission tickets sold, and Sales numbers were good for both Dealers of accessories and Motorcycles.
The 2012 Mid America Motorcycle Expo is a Cycleworks Production under the marketing and promotion direction of Owensboro Biker News, Jimmy & Janie Rhoades. Last year in 2011 Tim & Yvette Banks joined forces with Owensboro Biker News to produce the show. Tim Banks of Cycleworks Choppers in Owensboro Kentucky has been traveling the national motorcycle show/rally circuit as a well-respected custom bike builder & parts vendor for many years. This commitment to promoting an event such as this has already produced interest from vendors all over the nation.
This event once again will be a family friendly entertainment value, with beer sales, held in a smoke free environment. General Admission to the public will be affordable for the weekend pass, KIDS 12 & UNDER FREE; various Evansville hotels will offer special room rates. There will be shuttle & taxi service to and from the nearby Casino Aztar riverboat, and entertainment complex, as well as many area hotels making this a winter weekend destination for all motorcycle enthusiasts. Vendor spaces are available, and the rates for floor space is very inexpensive compared to similar style shows and expos. We invite vendors, dealers and bike builders to come from many States. That list includes AR, TX, KS, MO, OK, IL, IN, KY, & TN. Just to name a few.
The location of this event makes it a winner, due to the central location with neighboring metro cities such as, Louisville KY, Paducah KY, Nashville TN, St Louis MO, and Indianapolis IN, all being just a short drive away. This show inception came from the fact that the state of Kentucky did not have a regional indoor motorcycle show in 2008. We have structured our show to cater to the motorcycling community whose interest, and participation has been excellent, we as promoters far exceeded our expected attendance for the one-day event in 2008 and 2009 then in 2010 and 2011 for a two-day event. We believe with the advertising, in such publications as Thunder Roads Kentucky and with the facilities we have scheduled for 2012 that we are well on our way to being the premier indoor winter show in the Midwest.
